The first installation
After several months of development work, dozens of tests and days of lead time for our 3D printer, we finally had a working concept in our hands. Our functional samples (an adapter and a 20-centimeter-long piece of a strip) could be plugged in and unplugged and, of course, also transmit electricity.
But that alone does not prove that our vision works. So in the next step, as a proof of concept, we decided to equip an entire room with our system. The room for this was quickly found, as we installed the system in our own home. Flavio made his office available.
We then ordered our parts from the relevant manufacturers and after a few weeks of waiting, the first installation began.
We learned an incredible amount in the process. Just because something works on paper doesn’t mean it will work in reality. But we didn’t let it get us down and after a few night shifts, the room was equipped and the proof of concept was completed.
