The first investment
On January 14, 2021, we realized for the first time that we were now transitioning from a school project to a startup.
After a weeks-long application phase, we had our pitch in front of the Gebert-Rüf Stiftung jury that day to apply for the “First Ventures” program.
Naturally, we were nervous before our first pitch, which was really about something. Nevertheless, we mastered the situation without any problems, were able to present our idea in all its facets and went home with a good feeling.
Whether this was just our naive self-assessment or an objective picture of the situation, we would only find out in a few days’ time.
The answer from the Gebert-Rüf Foundation was only a few days away.
We were informed by email: You’re in!
We were delighted! Now we finally had the start-up capital to realize our idea.
